John Magnuson was in the Carpetbaggers for years. They were Bro. Roe’s favorite local band, and even played at Kim and Quillan’s wedding. John has a new solo CD of gospel songs called Love Unstayed. It’s a “collection of quasi-gospel songs, with the emphasis on quasi. Staple Singers covers, traditional gospel numbers, original songs that touch on related themes.” He also has a wonderful track on the Devil Music CD just released by HoMR. We’re thrilled to have John as our guest artist this Sunday.
