As part of our affiliation process with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Bishop is coming to House of Mercy. On Sunday, September 12th the Bishop will perform a ritual acknowledging the ordination of Rev. Debbie Blue. Bishop Peter Rogness is the adjudicatory leader of the St. Paul Area Synod.
Since this is the first Bishop House of Mercy has ever had the opportunity to host, we, the leaders at House of Mercy are both excited and a bit anxious. We’ve met him and we like him, he’s even going to preach.
So if your experience with Bishops is playing chess with your children, this would be a great opportunity for you. It would be a really good Sunday for all of you to show up at church and support Rev. Debbie Blue and it’d be nice for the Bishop to see our community in all it’s beauty. So, come to church on September 12th.
