It’s hard to sift through all the noise about refugees right now. How do refugees get here? How are they vetted? What does refugee status in the US mean? What are the impacts of the executive order on refugee communities and agencies in MN? How can you help? Come learn some basic facts about the structure and process of refugee resettlement in the United States. Take away a piece or two of real information to inform your conversations, advocacy and action. (Facilitated by Kristine Bjerkaas Friesen – 20+yrs working in refugee resettlement.)
