Dan Gjelten has been playing guitar since he was 14, and began by learning Peter Paul and Mary fingerstyle patterns and later studied classical guitar, but most of his playing has been inspired by his guitar heroes Doc Watson, John Fahey and Leo Kottke.
Dan’s day job is Director of Libraries at the University of St. Thomas where for the last decade, he has played with a group called the Show’d Up Band (which includes Bob Douglas along with other faculty and staff from UST.)
